Talen Energy (NASDAQ: TLN) completed the acquisitions of the Freedom and Guernsey natural gas power plants from affiliates of Caithness Energy and BlackRock for about $3.8 billion, adding nearly 2.9 GW of generation capacity in the PJM market.
Talen Energy is an independent power producer and energy infrastructure company. It own and operate approximately 13.2 gigawatts of power infrastructure in the U.S., including 2.2 gigawatts of nuclear power and a significant dispatchable fossil fleet.
