Houlihan Lokey, the Los Angeles-based investment bank, has agreed to acquire Intrepid Financial Partners, an independent advisory firm specializing in energy sector transactions.
The deal marks another consolidation move in the investment banking sector as larger platforms expand their energy and infrastructure capabilities.
Intrepid focuses on clients across upstream, midstream, and downstream energy segments. The firm has built a practice centered on merger advisory, capital raising, and restructuring assignments for energy companies navigating the transition toward renewable and low-carbon infrastructure.
Neither firm disclosed financial terms or an expected closing date. Advisors to the transaction were not identified in the announcement.
