Alliance Resource Partners LP has closed its $206 million acquisition of oil and gas mineral interests, the company announced on July 1.
The partnership acquired certain general partner and limited partner interests in AllDale Minerals III, LP and AllDale Minerals IV LP, subject to customary post-closing adjustments.
The deal represents the partnership's continued expansion into upstream energy assets. It adds proved and unproved mineral rights to Alliance's existing portfolio, diversifying its revenue streams beyond its traditional coal operations. The mineral interests acquired provide the partnership with exposure to conventional oil and gas production across key North American basins.
Market observers note the deal reflects broader capital reallocation within the energy sector, where established producers increasingly seek mineral rights that offer optionality and long-term value creation potential. Alliance's expansion into these assets signals confidence in conventional energy markets despite broader energy transition pressures.
